"When the time came for us to begin the building process, we decided to go with a modular home. We originally looked at Excel Modular Homes because we knew people who had Excel homes and liked them very much. We learned of SUNRISE HOMES through the Excel Modular home web site and through that met Larry Herrington. Larry introduced us to SUNRISE HOMES with tours of three homes in various stages of completion. We also followed a fourth house through the entire construction process. We were very impressed with Larry Herrington and the quality and workmanship of the homes. Larry made us feel that we could end up with the house we wanted and any problems would be solved to our satisfaction. The ability to customize our house was another major factor in the decision. Prior to meeting Larry we had selected the Excel Wildewood floor plan. In the years of planning our retirement home, this plan closely approximated our ideas. Larry was very patient with all our changes and additions and made the process of ordering the parts for that plan easy. He even recommended adding larger windows to the back of the house. This greatly opened up the views from the inside and brought so much light into the house. Once we signed the contract with SUNRISE HOMES, we dealt with Todd Herrington. Todd was very helpful and extremely patient through all the iterations. He worked diligently to obtain correct drawings and parts lists from Excel and to change the contract to include other items such as a deck, front porch, seeded lawn and Bilco doors. He kept us informed regularly about each step in the building process so we could be present to see the results and answer any last minute questions. Todd was especially patient with last minute additions.The site work was managed by Chad Herrington. Chad brought in the best crews at the right times. He kept us informed and answered all our questions and requests. Chad’s management and sense of humor made the whole process much easier. Since we have moved in, he has continued to follow through with any problems that have arisen. Many people have said building a new house was one of the worst experiences of their life. As you can probably tell, we made quite a few changes to the original Wildewood plan and we want to thank Larry, Todd and Chad Herrington for making the whole process much easier and more enjoyable. The house is everything we hoped for and feels just like home."
